For my first solo trip to Europe, I decided to go to England due to lack of a language barrier. And, I had always wanted to visit London. I wanted to add one other city, so after some research, I decided on Bath.

I flew into London, then took a train to Bath. I spent two nights in Bath and spent the days leisurely strolling about. I visited Bath Abbey, The Roman Baths, Royal Crescent and Pulteney Bridge. I would highly recommend a walking tour upon arrival. It's a great way to see everything and get a lay of the land.

To be honest, this was my first solo trip to Europe, in a city far from home where I knew no one. It was exhilarating. Wandering the streets of a new city rich with history only confirmed my desire to continue this path of solo travel.

My hotel was amazing. A charming boutique hotel. They even gave me a pink room! The staff was lovely. I opted for room service in bed the first night - I was exhausted from travel. And truthfully, I LOVE a hotel room service night.

While out and about, I loved having cocktails at The Botanist Bath. I enjoyed lunch and a pint at The Pig and Fiddle.

Then I took the train to London and checked into The Kimpton Fitzroy.

I fell in love with London, hard. I took myself on a Valentine's Day date to Ave Mario and to see Cabaret The Musical. My first time experiencing theater in London and I was enthralled.

The rest of the trip, I shopped, explored and did the traditional sight seeing. I purchased The London Pass to gain access to the main attractions.

Highlights for me: Shopping at Liberty London, exploring Camden Market and Portobello Road Market. And rather dealing with the crowds at The Shard, I highly recommend getting drinks at the Shangri-La Hotel instead.

I knew this wouldn't be my last visit to London. I was in love.
